Who Is Betty Doll?

In addition to the many favorable comments from students and attendees, Betty has received the award for Outstanding Conference Speaker at the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants 2006 Annual Conference, and was honored with the prestigious  William G Wetzel “Excellence in Public Speaking” award by the National Association of Health Underwriters.

 More recently, she receivied the 2010 R Donald Farmer award from NCACPA. Here is a comment about the award and Betty's participation.

Betty Doll is the principal of Doll & Associates Long Term Care Insurance Services in Asheville, North Carolina,  a successful agency specializing in long term care insurance.

Formerly a manager for the rehabilitation division of a national nursing home corporation, her work on the clinical side of long term care gave her first hand knowledge of the importance of proper planning for long term care and a unique education in the limitations of Medicare and Medicaid. Combined with her experience of her own family's long term care needs, she has the ideal background for a message that is powerful on every level.

Betty has been a national trainer for the Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC) designation since 2000 and has trained thousands of professionals across the country in the specifics of long term care insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and other topics related to aging, eldercare, and retirement.

Betty has a Master of Business Administration degree from Jacksonville University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University.

She is a frequent guest on “Money Matters”, a live, call-in radio show, and has been featured on television shows as a specialist in the area of financial options for long term care planning. She is a frequent columnist for the Asheville Citizen-Times on topics related to health and aging.

Betty is an active member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) , the Financial Planning Association (FPA), and the local Estate Planning Council.
